My name is John Petingalo, the owner of Smokey's Sound. You may call me Smokey if you wish! I have been involved in music since 2001. I have played guitar, drums, bass, trombone and flute throughout my musical career. I also have been involved with live audio, lighting, recording, and many musicals both in the pit band, and as part of the technical crew on lighting and sound. Music has always been a part of my life, and it has had a substantial impact on it. I have performed for many charity events such as the Relay for Life, Ride for Sight, Ride for Autism and many more. I have performed for well over 700 live shows to date, and have many more to come. 

I have a BA at Western University with a major in the Popular Music Studies program and a minor in MIT (Media, Information and Techniculture). I was trained under many well accomplished and experienced engineers in the studio and in live fields. Throughout my years as a live engineer I have had opportunities to engineer shows for artists such as Sean McCann from Great Big Sea, panel discussions with Adam Kiefer from United Talent Agency and stage setups for artists such as Walk Off The Earth. I am always up to date with the newest technologies allowing myself to be able to handle and troubleshoot any complications that may... will happen (let's face it, it's show business and Murphy loves show business). Every project taken on is given 110% to guarantee exceptional quality and maximum fun!
